The guitar is in great shape and weighs just 6 pounds, 11 ounces.  The only changed part is the truss rod cover.  There are no new screw holes, so just one screw holds that part in place.  The original case and paperwork is included.

Combining raw tone with stripped-down style, the BFG (Barely Finished Guitar) is one of Gibson’s most unique Les Paul models—and this particular example is a collector’s dream, bearing the authentic signature of the man who revolutionized the electric guitar.

This USA-made Gibson Les Paul BFG features a mahogany body with a carved maple top, a 50s-style rounded mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. Its tone is just as bold as its looks, thanks to a powerful Burstbucker 3 humbucker in the bridge and a P-90 single-coil in the neck—a unique pickup pairing that delivers everything from gritty blues to hard rock with attitude.

Unlike traditional Les Pauls, the BFG has an ultra-satin, textured top with minimal finishing, exposed wiring channels, and simplified electronics, offering a stripped-down aesthetic with serious sonic character. The transparent cherry finish gives the wood grain room to shine, and Les Paul's signature on the top makes this a true one-of-a-kind piece.

There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air.  Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
