Harmony H50 Archtop 1951 Sunburst

This Harmony H50 walked in with a friend the other day and we were smitten with the coolness. There is just the right amount of wear, giving this piece some real character.
The guitar has had a refret and a neck reset, but otherwise appears to be very original. The cutout in the pickguard around the pickup looks altered. It just looks a little misshapen and doesn't really follow the profile of the pickup. A strap button was added to the neck heel, a ground wire was run between the output jack and the tailpiece (with no alteration to the wood), the nut was shimmed to work with the refret, and the buttons on the tuning machines were replaced.
The solid spruce top shows really wide grain and is just plain luscious. The back is maple, and that flame is faux - yep, it is painted on there!
I dig these "speed bump" pickups, and this one is pretty hot at over 8k.
The refret isn't perfect - the ends are a little uneven but there is no fret sprout. The reset and a fret level/crown received at some point in the past improved playability.
The case appears to be original!
