This 1966 Ampeg J-12-D Jet is a classic American-made tube combo amp, known for its warm cleans, smooth breakup, and unmistakable mid-century tone.

Featuring dual 7868 power tubes, a 12" speaker, and Ampeg's signature tremolo circuit, the J-12-D delivers the rich, dynamic sound that made it a favorite of jazz, blues, and garage rock players.

Housed in its original blue diamond tolex, this vintage amp offers both collectible appeal and reliable studio or small stage performance. A beautifully preserved example of Ampeg's golden-era craftsmanship.

The original transformers are in place.  The amp has been fully serviced, unlike most you'll see out there.  The filter cap can was changed, along with other electrolytic caps in the circuit.  A grounded power cable was installed.  A Warehouse speaker is installed as well, a nice upgrade over the original.  The handle is vintage but is not original to the amp.

This amp is working well and 100% good to go.

Shipping policy:

When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  These cases result in multiple box shipments, and they require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
