Gibson Explorer GA-18 Tweed Amp 1960

This is the perfect example of a Gibson GA-18 from the best era of Gibson amps.
For too long, these Gibson amps have lagged their Fender counterparts, but the secret is out and prices are rising accordingly. This isn't hype-caused, the amps are just really good and have been undervalued.
This amp is very near 100% original. It appears that perhaps the filter cap can was changed at some point. The speaker was reconed as well. These are the only changes to the amp. Even the tubes are original, and they all test out as fully functional.
The amp runs strong, offering sweet, organic tone. The tremolo could use a little work. The slowest speed is a bit too fast. Capacitor updates in the tremolo section can change the speed range. For now, we're leaving the amp is-is, including the original, ungrounded power cable as the amp is largely undisturbed.
Cosmetically, the Explorer is about as clean as they come. There are a few very small spots on the grille that look like they caught some glue or something. The tweed is in great shape, and the handle is intact.
