I've been waffling for a while on this 1965 Vox AC30 Twin . It is a killer example, sporting original transformers, speakers (reconed), the original swivel stand, and footswitch.
The amp has been responsibly serviced and runs really well. It sounds like a dream!
The Vox JMI Super Twin AC30 Piggyback is a highly sought-after vintage British amplifier from the early 1960s, offering the legendary AC30 tone in a rare head and matching speaker cabinet configuration. Built during the iconic Jennings Musical Industries (JMI) era, this amp delivers 30 watts of classic Class A tube power, renowned for its chimey cleans, smooth overdrive, and unmistakable British Invasion sound.
Featuring two channels, Top Boost circuitry, and housed in a distinctive piggyback head-and-cab format, this Super Twin AC30 is a true collector's piece with all the sonic magic of its combo counterpart—plus greater versatility and portability. Shipping policy:
When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping. We will remove the chassis from this amp so that the large transformers don't damage the chassis or cabinet. These cases result in multiple box shipments, and they require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery. We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure. Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently. Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping. We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
