The most collectable Ludwig Acrolite snare drum - this early, "prototype" version with aluminum hoops. All the earliest features, and the original hoops are in excellent condition, showing little use. Most aluminum hoops succumbed to use and were discontinued by Ludwig after making a couple hundred drums in this config.
