Fender 1960 Telecaster Relic Custom Shop 2022 Natural Blonde

The Natural Blonde finish on this 1960 Relic Telecaster was new in 2022 and quickly sold out at Custom Shop dealers around the country.  The color is one of Fender's best reissue efforts, appearing very authentic and taking the relic work nicely.  Speaking of relic work - the level of wear on this guitar is just about right.  Nothing goes too far or looks unrealistic.

1960 saw changes to the neck, a thicker profile than the slimmest profile they'd yet produced in 1959.  The change was positive, and it answers the call of many players for a neck with some heft and shape but without the largess that turns some folks off.  The back of the neck on this particular example feels really good.  The 9.5" radius isn't 1960-accueate, but it is preferred by most players, making string bends easy but avoiding issues in the upper fret areas that can occur on 7.5" radius fretboards.

The weight of this piece is perfect - just a slim hair over 7 pounds.  

A couple changes of note: the original frets were swapped out for jumbos.  This sounds like a drawback to some, but I'll tell you that the guitar has a killer feel with these frets  The original frets were retained.  

The original saddles are also stored in the case, with compensated brass saddles installed for better intonation.

All the case goodies from the factory are included in the sharp, original white hard case.  The cert and floor traveler form are there as well.

There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air.  Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
