Gibson ES-225T 1959 Sunburst

This guitar came to us from a gentleman who does house clean-outs.  It looks like it was sitting there for decades, waiting for someone to unearth it.  

The guitar is quite clean and is all-original with the exception of the endpin, which I added from my vintage parts stash. 

The tailpiece was repaired at some point in the past - you can see a welding or brazing line across the base that holds the trapeze at the lower edge of the guitar.  Breaks in this part of the tailpiece are common as the original part does not handle the tension of the strings well over time.  Someone did a really nice job on this repair.

There are a handful of small finish imperfections on the back.  It seems that there was something in the case with the guitar that reacted with the finish in these spots.  There is no sign of what caused it in the original case.  There is also a small area on the lower edge where the finish reacted with the case as well.  All of this is pretty inconsequential as the rest of the guitar is in beautiful condition.

The original frets are in amazingly clean condition.  The neck feels perfect - the famed 1959 Gibson neck that everyone loves.  

The original case is included.  These cases are never great, but it is there, broken handle and all.
