This is a beautifully clean and 100% original Gibson ES-335TD from 1965, complete with the original case.  This is a stunner - check out that top and back!

Gibson built just 712 ES-335TDs in 1965, adding another 1038 in transparent cherry finish (ES-335TDC).

1965 was a year of transitions for Gibson guitars.  Hardware was changing from nickel to chrome.  This guitar has mostly chrome parts, but the original ABR-1 bridge is nickel.  The bigger change was the width of the nut, which changed from 1 11/16" to a narrower 1 9/16".  This is a narrow-nut version.

Overall, the guitar is in excellent or better condition.  There are some smallish dings here and there, the only one that is really noticeable is along the back edge, on the binding, as pictured.

This is the consummate vintage guitar.  It has mojo, but not because it is beat up and heavily worn - the charm is in the beautiful iced tea sunburst finish with uniform checking throughout.

The weight of the guitar is just right.  The neck is perfectly hefty, but not overly so, and it plays perfectly.

The original frets have been dressed, probably just once.  They're full with years and years of life left.  The truss rod has room for future neck relief adjustments.  Getting the perfect setup was a breeze.

The original case is in excellent condition as well.
