Gibson Les Paul Junior 1955 Sunburst

This 1955 Les Paul Junior is a killer!  

It weighs just barely over 7.5 pounds and has the best neck.  

Juniors from this period had shallow bridge threads and short posts.  This guitar has had deeper threaded inserts added, along with longer posts that appear to be vintage.  This counteracts annoying and potentially damaging bridge-lean that is standard on guitars from 1954, 1955, and some from 1956.  

The bridge is a Music City replacement, built with compensation for good intonation.  The original bridge is not included.

The tuners were once changed to Schallers, and original tuners with new buttons have been returned to the guitar.  The old Schaller screw holes were nicely filled.

A professional refret was done years ago, including a replacement bone nut.  The frets are big, but they feel great as they were dressed nicely.  The neck is straight and there is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.

All else is original - the pickup, pickup cover, pots, knobs, pickguard, finish, and strap buttons.  Oh - one of the strap buttons was moved to the neck heel at some point - that hole was filled.  

The finish is completely original with no overspray.
