This Guild S-60 has seen some work but is a really cool find nonetheless.

Single pickup guitars, other than Esquires and Les Paul Juniors, were forever considered fairly useless.  ES-330ts, ES-125Ts and such -guitars like this Guild were peripheral to collectors in their one-pickup iteration.  While original examples have taken on a following, mongrels like this hot-rodded Guild are equally popular if they're priced accordingly.

As you'll find with many modded guitars like this, the woodwork isn't that great.  It is better than many however - it doesn't look like a hammer and chisel were utilized.  Routing under the pickguard allowed for the neck pickup add and it is completely hidden by the aftermarket pickguard.

A pair of Duncan Firebird style pickups now grace the body.  They are a great choice for the mahogany body and neck.

The bridge setup was also altered when the pickup scenario changed.  Old post holes were filled and Gotoh bridges were added.  One final change to the body is near the lower bout strap button.  There must have been a Dunlop style straplock button added at one point - the kind that recesses into the body.  The hole remains and a strap button has been relocated nearby.

The rest of the guitar is in very good to excellent shape.  The frets are full and nowhere near needing work.  There are no neck breaks or any other nasty repairs.

This is a great playing guitar that is unique for sure - something you can add to your arsenal and play with reckless abandon.  It would be a great slide guitar with those Firebird style pickups.
