This Silvertone 1446 has great curb appeal and awesome tone.  A close look reveals some issues present on many of these guitars, none of which affect the tone or playability.

Let's start with the good stuff.  The hardware and electronics are all original, including the Gibson made pickups that give this guitar its signature tone. 

The frets appear to be replaced - they're full and not needing work.  The original nut was shimmed when the frets were replaced.  The original frets on these guitars are pretty lame - this is a nice upgrade.  The guitar set up well with a new set of 10-46 strings, and there is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.

As for issues - the pickguard has been cracked and glued back together.  This is very typical on the 1446.  The pickup rings are crack-free - often they are cracked, and of course there is no repro replacement for the unique part.

There is a repair at the output jack that has been sprayed with new finish.  It looks like there is an area of wood putty or bondo around the output jack.  

This is a great player that you can take out and enjoy without worry.
