This rare and stunningly gorgeous 1967 Gibson J-200 is one of only 226 produced that year and showcases exceptionally flamed maple back and sides, paired with a spruce top for the iconic Super Jumbo tone.
The guitar is 100% original. The bridge was expertly removed, cleaned, and re-glued - the only repair. The only change from original is the strap button added to the neck heel.
The guitar is a nearly perfect example. The back, sides, and neck are highly flamed. The original frets show little wear. The neck set is perfect. The bridge is soundly attached. The top is not bellied and distorted.
The original case is also in excellent shape.
I know I am going to regret letting this one go.
Known for its booming projection, articulate highs, and rich low end, this J-200 represents the pinnacle of Gibson’s acoustic craftsmanship during the golden era.
With its ornate moustache bridge, crown inlays, and original sunburst finish, this guitar is both a collector’s gem and a stage-ready performer. A standout example of a highly limited, highly flamed vintage Gibson acoustic.
