This Rickenbacker SD-6 lap steel is a real looker, with plenty of mojo and kilter tone from the horseshoe pickup.
The 'Steel Deluxe' Rickenbacker lap steel was introduced in the late 1940's as the companies first upmarket hollow body lap steel, and would feature in the Rickenbacker catalog until 1953 This SD-6 is in very good condition and has all the original parts intact, including the cool peghead cover. The steel pressed body is finished in copper enamel, with contrasting dark brown hardware, headstock cover and finger plate.
We added a case to the steel that isn't original but is period correct.
