This Leo Kottke signature walked in the front door yesterday and took us by surprise. The strings were toast and it hadn't been played in years. We cleaned and strung it up and it knocked us out with great tone and playability.
Made for the NAMM show in 1998. I would assume that it is a stand out versus others as a result as builders usually show their best stuff at NAMM.
The guitar is crack and repair free with a straight neck and frets that show some pitting but have plenty of life left.
A simple, active, under-saddle pickup system was added at some point, the manufacturer of which we aren't sure.
Original Taylor paperwork and really nice hardshell case included.
