I don't do much in the way of banjos, but this one really caught my eye. The build is beautiful, and the sound is simply amazing! It plays great too. While I am not banjo-proficient, I found this one grabbing me the other night for an hour or two, finding some inspiration in the beauty and playability of this hand crafted beauty.
As I understand it, Lame Horse is out of Austin, Texas. I see many of their guitar banjos for sale, but no 5 strings, which is surprising because it seems like they could sell plenty of these.
The instrument is in excellent or better condition and appears to be missing only a truss rod cover. It comes complete with a vintage strap and the high-quality, original hard shell case.
