This 1959 Fender DuoSonic is a one-owner guitar, purchased from the family of the original owner. I could tell that the neck had been removed in the past based on the condition of the screws, but I'm sure I was the first one to get under the pickguard, where I found it to be pristine.
The guitar is in excellent shape. There is some wear around the edges of the body, which is very typical for the model as the desert tan finish is prone to fine checking.
The neck is extremely clean, the frets as well, which show little wear. The truss rod has room for future neck adjustment.
The guitar plays perfectly and sounds fabulous. The middle pickup position is especially where its at, giving a humbucker-like sound. Of course, the classic 50s single coil sounds of the bridge and neck pickup alone are sweet as well.
The instrument is 100% original with no changes, repairs, or issues.
It did not come to us with a case, so it will ship in a gig bag.
