Here we have a stunning Telecaster in original Candy Apple Red - something you rarely see in a '68 with a maple-cap neck.

The guitar is in amazingly clean.  The finish is alluring, having faded in a very good way, contrasting the same finish under the pickguard - see the pic for the tan line.

This Tele is nice and light, especially for this era, weighing in at just 7 pounds 3.5 ounces.  It plays quite well with the 10-46 strings we put on it after our check of authenticity.  The original frets show some wear in the lower register but have loads of life left.

The original pots date to 1966.  Solder joints have been touched up.  This happened when the original pickups were removed to be wax potted.  Pickups from this period are somewhat notorious for being highly microphonic.  Someone along the line had the potting done to counteract the issue, which can cause feedback in more extreme cases.  This is the only change to the guitar.

The original case and case keys are included.
