Here's a mint condition 2021 ES-335 we just traded in. It looks newer than most instruments you'll see hanging in a store.
We took it in, re strung it and checked it out just as we would a vintage instrument. It sets up perfectly and the truss rod works as you'd expect. The original case is similarly mint and contains the original paperwork and all the goodies that came with the guitar.
