This 1953 ES-175 came in recently from a local customer who had inherited it from his uncle.  The pair both played the guitar, especially his uncle, who apparently played in Bakersfield with Buck Owens back in the day.

The love of the guitar is seen in the fretboard, which shows plenty of wear.  The original frets are still there and they're playable still.  Consistent play in the future will require a refret.

The neck is sublime - a thick one with  the original finish nicely intact but with a played in feel just the same.

While some care was taken with the handling of the guitar, the output jack area did take some damage, as is typical on archtops with their output jacks fastened to the laminated, mahogany side of the guitar.  Someone made a nice, oversized jack plate to cover the area.

The rest of the guitar is original with excellent curb appeal.  It has a great voice, acoustically it is punchy and the P-90 sounds fantastic.  It is a joy to play.

The original hardshell case is in great shape as well, adding some serious value to the instrument while protecting it in style.
