Gibson L-50 Round Hole 1934 Sunburst

The Gibson L-50 "round hole" is a rare model, made for just three years, each with its own body shape - so this guitar design in particular was made for just one year with some getting F holes instead of the round soundhole.
As a 1934, the guitar has an arched spruce top, 14.75" lower bout and a flat, mahogany back.
The instrument is in excellent condition - a 90 year old piece that really held up well.
This is a really fun guitar to play. The body is small and very comfortable to get your arms around. The big V neck has a great feel and the tone is punchy and very old school.
I am sure the neck has been reset at some point, and the frets professionally replaced. The bridge saddle sits low, but the action is perfect.
The pickguard is missing - it likely disintegrated. The tuners are original and are in excellent shape with none bent or otherwise difficult to turn.
A beautiful and unique piece that includes the original case.
