This Les Paul set up better than any we've had in for as long as I can remember - it plays like an absolute dream!
As you likely know, these Silverbursts have gone through the roof of late. This one will save you a little cash but get you into the pack, and this one will kill all the others due to its perfect playability.
There are no breaks or ugly repairs. The frets have been expertly changed and show little wear.
When we received the guitar it had a Dimarzio Super Distortion pickup in the bridge position. The yahoo who did this undoubtedly saw his friends doing the same thing and followed suit. And while one was doing this in 1983 it was perfectly natural to add a coil tap switch - see it there between the knobs? The switch is still in there, but now there is an appropriately dated Shaw humbucker back in the guitar with an original cover on it.
The rest of the guitar is original - pots, tuners, hardware, knobs, pickguard, strap buttons, etc.
The case is a 70's Gibson, but I'd expect to see this in a "chainsaw" case, though I do prefer the nice case it came in over the plastic behemoth.
There is checking throughout - such a cool look. The finish hasn't turned like some of these can. The guitar just has THE look.
