This Hashimoto classical guitar is a sneaky-good piece.  It isn't super refined, but the solid woods ring like a bell.

In 1968, the Hashimoto Gut Guitar No. 236 emerged from the workshop of Kazuo Hashimoto, a distinguished Japanese luthier renowned for his contributions to classical guitar craftsmanship. Hashimoto, based in the Nagano region of Japan, was instrumental in the development of Japanese classical guitar production, bringing a meticulous approach to instrument making that was deeply rooted in his background as a wood craftsman during World War II.

The No. 236 model exemplifies Hashimoto's dedication to quality and artistry. It features a tightly-grained, solid Ezo spruce top, known for its excellent tonal properties, paired with rosewood back and sides that not only enhance its visual appeal but also contribute to its warm, resonant sound.  It is a little hard to tell if the rosewood is Brazilian or Indian as it does have some of the chocolatey appearance of Brazilian with the straighter grain pattern of Indian.

Comes with a nice, fuzzy-lined chipboard case.
