A nearly perfect example of Martin's guitar that addressed the folk music movement of the 60s.  

The guitar is actually braced and built strong enough to handle strings like Martin's Silk and Steel sets, which was how many used it back in the day.  Strung with nylon strings, it sounds wonderful as well.

The guitar was brought to us by the original owner,  She took great care of the guitar.  I initially listed the guitar as having a repaired top crack and discussed what I assumed was an added cleat inside the top.  I only noticed it when we took pictures inside the guitar, finding the small, diamond-shaped piece of spruce under the top, just behind the bridge.  It turns out that Martin placed these as a reinforcement of the top.  

There are no repairs or changes to the guitar.  It came in with nylon strings on it that had been detuned for years, so the neck hasn't been under endless tension.  The neck angle is perfect as a result.  

The case is also original.

Shipping policy:

Three day UPS air shipments will be automatic for buyers including these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
