Guitars like this Martin 0-18 from 1950 are among our best sellers these days as players gravitate toward smaller acoustics from the 50s and earlier, drawn by the sound, playability and comfort level they bring.

This guitar has all the tone and feel that you get from a 50's Martin, but it has seen some work, so the price is affordable.  Other guitars in this price range just don't measure up.  Look around at what you get in the mid-$2000 range and I think you'll agree.

The guitar appears to have been re-topped, perhaps due to some damage that was beyond repair.  The top is a beautiful piece of spruce and the work performed is very well done.  Check out the interior pics to see the beautiful scalloped bracing work.

The neck was reset during this process.  The frets were likely replaced as well, and though they show some light wear they are good to go for years.

The original tuners were retained.  The top, back, sides, and the back of the neck were refinished.  The front of the headstock was untouched in the refinish process.

The piece is very resonant and and it plays perfectly.  I love being able to lazily slouch in my chair and play guitar, which you just can't do with a dreadnought!
