It's a little tough to come across a vintage Martin that has escaped so many of the typical issues.

There is no pickguard crack. The tortoise pickguard is still there and completely attached  The tuners are original. There is no overspray. The bridge hasn't been sanded down. or re-glued. The small, maple bridge plate is intact. The only knock is that it needs a neck reset. It does not need a refret - not even close, so the reset and perhaps a new saddle is all it needs.  I think the nut and saddle have been professionally replaced without any negative effect to the guitar.

I usually feel like I have to wake an old Martin. This one was full and bright right out of the gate.

The guitar isn't dead mint, which I like. You've got a bit of checking and other signs of handling, all age appropriate!

I always work hard to avoid hyperbole in my descriptions. That said, if you're in the market for a D-18 of this era, this is the one.
