I picked this 2006 Martin HD-28 up in Nashville at a recent guitar show to meet the insatiable appetite we've been experiencing for quality acoustic guitars.
This example is extremely clean and is crack and repair free. There is one finish flaw on the side, near the neck. It almost slipped by us and we had to take it outdoors to get pictures that would show it.
The only change to the guitar is an added strap button on the neck heel.
The neck is true and the truss rod has room for future neck relief adjustments. The saddle is high and the action at the 12th fret is within industry spec. Frets show very light wear.
It has a big voice, as you'd expect, thanks in large part to the scalloped bracing.
We checked the guitar out just as we would a vintage Martin to make sure you're getting a quality piece.
